a crafty year in review

I love seeing all the cool things people made in the sleek and lovely photo mosiac format, and it’s been a treat to see Linda’s and Sarah’s colorful craft collages so far this week, so I thought I’d mix up my favorite crafts of 2008 as well!

They seem to fall into four categories with some overlaps: sewn baby stuff, Barack Obama prints, CraftStylish beading and jewelry projects, and holiday decorations. Some of my favorite things are in the mix for sure — whales, voting, gocco, felt, glitter, rhinestones, vintage beads, and an octopus for good measure.

What things did you make last year that you really liked? I’d love to see them if you want to comment and give links!

  1. I made a really cool convertible necklace for my Mom for Christmas! It was made with my own polymer clay beads, some hand wrought copper rings, glass beads, and a few different types of metal chains.

What made it convertible was that it could be worn as two separate necklaces, one long one or two bracelets. All with or without the polymer clay pendant!
