I’m finally feeling better and I’ll be back with an actual crafty post tomorrow, but for now I wanted to make a quick announcement to any fellow Portland sports lovers: my father-in-law Paul Dickson will be at Powell’s tomorrow night, May 1, to read from and sign his Dickson Baseball Dictionary!

If you’re a baseball fan, I hope you’ll stop by and say hi… and I heard that Stitch ‘n Pitch is making a Portland stop this year, at the Beavers game on June 25. I got to go to a SnP Dodgers game a couple of years ago and it was a lot of fun! I’ll definitely be there, probably embroidering instead of knitting unless my skills improve in that arena.

And since I’m apparently on a sports-o-rama theme today, I’ll mention this too… Sarah and I sewed up some black-and-red pennants last week, which was super fun,

and mine are proudly flying on my porch as our Blazers hang in there through the playoffs.

Pearl is a big fan too!

Go Blazers!
