state capitol bound!
February 3, 2010 at 9:46 pm | Posted in craftivism, oregon | 3 CommentsPearl and I are heading down to Salem Thursday afternoon to testify in favor of SB 1032 — the bill I mentioned the other day. It’s up for vote soon and if it passes, it would ban BPA in all children’s products here in Oregon!
The Oregon Environmental Council invited me to speak and submit a written statement at the public hearing in Oregon’s majestic State Capitol building tomorrow. I’m nervous and excited and very, very hopeful! Thank you to State Senator Jackie Dingfelder for introducing the bill, to the OEC for asking me to join the effort to pass it, and to Kendra and all my friends for their encouragement.
Wish us luck! Hope to see you tomorrow at Reading Frenzy — back to crafts after that!

I saw you on TV tonight… I was trimming green beans and watching the news. I thought you explained it great. Way to go!
