Modern Log Cabin Quilting

My new book, Modern Log Cabin Quilting, is out this week! You can find it at Powell’s, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Borders, Bolt, Cool Cottons, Modern Domestic, or your local bookstore or fabric shop.

I have a book website right here with events (starting April 2), corrections, reviews, tutorials + videos, and lots more if you want to find out more about it!

Bright Furrows Quilt

It includes 25 log cabin projects to make – 10 quilts plus 15 patchwork projects like bags, pillows, and kitchen bits and pieces.

All of them use the same simple, basic log cabin piecing structure, but in a variety of scales, styles, and fabric choices, so everything is super-customizable but still beginner-friendly.

Market Tote

I also got to include some bits of log cabin history along with tips and techniques for getting started, or just mixing some of these ideas into your own quilting or other craft projects.

If you make anything from it, I’d love to see photos – please add them to the MLCQ flickr pool! And I hope to see you at one of the Portland or Bay Area events soon too.
